He’s One!

This past weekend, we celebrated Ethan’s first birthday.  We had the party at Tradewinds Park in Coral Springs.  We were lucky enough that it didn’t rain, although it was predicted.  The weather was perfect.  A nice cool breeze surrounded us throughout the day.

Vanessa and Amelia arrived earlier in the morning to start the setup process. Daniel and I ran around a bit picking up the balloons and food to get ready for the 1pm start.  My Parents and Grandmother drove down from Georgia and my Aunt was able to make it from West Palm Beach.

We were surrounded by all of our friends to help celebrate Ethan’s big day!  Thanks to everyone who were able to make it and for those who were unable to, we missed you.  Please take a look at the updated pictures in Ethan’s Gallery.  We were lucky enough to also have a photographer there to take a few shots so daddy could enjoy everyone, for once…

Baptism

Saturday, July 9th, we baptised our son Ethan.   The ceremony was held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, in Coral Springs, Florida.   The Ceremony was perfect, and was performed by Deacon Frank.  We had a good amount of friends and family there to take part in the ceremony with us, and that it made it extra special.  The God Parents are Vanessa’s brother Daniel, and our very close friend Karen Fortune.

Vanessa and I want to thank everyone for being there.  It was a wonderful day.

Enjoy the pictures, just added in Ethan’s Gallery.

Welcome

I am creating this site so I can show everyone (mainly my family) the pictures I have taken through the years.  My wife and I just had a baby boy, so you can tell the need for a showcase.  I enjoy photography and take as many pictures as I can, while trying to learn after each one.

I have a Cannon XSI SLR with a few differnt types of lenses:
Canon EF 50mm F/1.8
Canon EF 28-135mm F/3.5-5.6 Ultrasonic
Canon ES-S 18-55mm IS – Kit lens / Circular Polarizer

I mainly shoot with the 28-135 Ultrasonic, and the 50mm.  The 28-135 is a great walk around lens and is a big step up from the kit lens that Canon offers, and you can still have some money left in your pocket.  I took some great pictures with the kit lens while I was learning, in my early stages, but you can tell the advantages with the Ultrasonic motor and the ability to slow down the shutter speed and still  keep some pretty crisp shots.

I hope you enjoy looking around.  I will be updating the site any chance I can get.  As I said before, the grandparents are waiting for the next perfect shot!
